Hi, Hope everyone got to see the pictures of the quilt show if they didn't get to the show itself-if not we will have pictures in the scrapbook for you to enjoy-we always bring it to the guild meetings so...
 
Congrats to Nancy Davis for receiving top honers for both the guild and visitor ballots-love your quilt!  It would so fit well into my decor-okay just dreaming.  Congrats to Joan Stover, Andrea Kroening and Chris Fuqua as well, good job!
 
We were very well represented at the Teller County Fair and I know we had some ribbon winners at the State Fair as well-Cindy will update us...
 
Quilts in the Aspens results:  Congratulations to Nancy Davis for winning both Viewer's Choice & Guild Choice awards.  Honorable Mention, Viewer's Choice went to Andrea Kroening & Joan Stover.  Honorable Mention, Guild Choice went to Chris Fuqua for her "Cowboy Dream".  Congratulations to all AND a huge thank you to all the other Guild members who entered their creations in the show!
 
Following are the results for our Guild members who entered the Teller County Fair.  I took 25 entries over myself for various members and others and we had over 48 quilt entries this year.  The display filled 10 of our quilt frames!  
 
Julian Mortensen (Cindy Snell's grandson) won a blue & Reserve Champion & a white with his 2 entries and Whitney Kingry (Barb Schillinger's granddaughter) won a blue & Grand Champion.  Both were in the Youth Division.
 
Following are members who won in the Adult Division:  Barb Schillinger--Blue; Pat Harris--Red & Blue; Regina Bechard--Blue, Red (2), & White (2); Kathleen Grenfell--Blue, Red; Cindy Snell--Blue (2),White; Marybeth Wujcik--White (group quilt); Andrea Kroening--Blue & Grand Champion (group quilt); Linda Sallee--Blue, White; Barb Oliver--Blue.  
 
In the Professional Division:  Marybeth Wujcik--Blue; Scott Beaver--Red; Cindy DeMore--Blue; Andrea Kroening--Blue, Grand Champion.
 
I hope all of you are working to finish your challenge quilts "Food For Thought", they are due this Friday at our August Guild meeting.
We are also having our summer picnic so please come and join us for an afternoon of socializing and good food.  Don't forget to bring your can of food for your entry fee.

The September workshop is 
Ann Lauer from Grizzly Gulch Gallery 
She is from Helena, Mt She will be doing a trunk show at the meeting 
and Saturday Oct 1 she will be doing a full day workshop.
The workshop is from 10am till 5pm cost is $40.00 plus the pattern
The patterns for the workshop are

Gathering Storm
Mist in the Mountains

Trunk show title is Embellishment by Design
Work shop: pen and Ink Workshop
The Workshop is on Saturday Oct 29 at the Library
The cost is 42$ which includes the cost of the Kit ($12.00)
The kit has everything you will need to make your wall hanging she will be letting you use her pens and ink. The only thing you have to do is buy your boarder material and the backing material.
 With the wall hanging being small I am sure we all have something in our stash to use for that.
